Day 25 - Getting Back on Track

Siesta Lead to Snoring
What was supposed to be a little siesta last night pre-workout, turned into a full night rest. Alas, there was no workout for me yesterday. When I woke up in the morning, I was pretty mad at myself. What about commitment? How did this happen? I realized after a little while that I can't be so hard on myself. Fumbling a few steps in a marathon is nothing in the long run, quite literally. And furthermore, all you can do is take that next step. (Thanks to my dad for that last part. He likes to say: all you can do is the very next thing.)

Back on Track
So my next step was to get back on track. I did today's workout, and after a day's rest, it felt great. I was really able to focus on all the moves and push myself on a couple. I did the arm and leg raise moves from circuit 3 from plank position again. I did not take a break during the scissor ab move. I don't have a kettle ball to do Traci's mod on the dips and raises in circuit 3, so I tried an 8-lb weight and that worked well.

31 Day Shred
It looks like the 30 Day Shred has now turned into the 31 Day Shred. (Thank you for your kindness and support, Traci, when I fell off the wagon.) And some more news about another "next step": we've decided that when we're done the 31 days, we'll do another 30! Yeah us!

  1. At least you got back on the bandwagon :) and today was a good one because you gave your body a chance to rest, so really there was no harm done !!!

Look to the finish line, not the step you just took.
