And Rocky ... Has Left the Building

Well, I didn't have a lot of high hopes for today given what I put my body through yesterday, and in reality it went better than expected. Hence, Rocky has left the building - the ass-kicking attitude was not present today. Rocky, I need you back for tomorrow!!!

I spent nearly the entire day today just resting every part of my body I could ... aka I spent the day in bed watching movies on Netflix. This was of course after finally being comfortable to fall asleep at 6am this morning (I was a bit sore after getting home early this morning). After getting a full 8 hours of sleep (yay me, that never happens), I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to move. It turns out the icy hot and stretching after getting home helped, I felt pretty good.

My right hip was still a bit sore, it has a mind of its own and hated the 18 degree weather it had to haul my ass home in this morning. It was this hip angst that had me worried about day 5 of level 3.

I was doing great until the lunges hit, well it wasn't really that bad. When my right foot was forward, I could feel my hip arguing with the movement. Left foot forward, no problem. So, it was really only half of the time that it gave me grief, but I showed it who was boss and we made it all the way through.

Today was a lot harder than any other day on level three though, and I think that was due to what I put my body through yesterday and the fact that I was just exhausted.

After only being away for 8 hours, I am ready for bed again ... the good news is for the first time in a long while, I will voluntarily go to bed before midnight. Hooray!!!

On another note, I'm looking forward to going through this again. It will nice to see if there is an actual change in my ability to complete the movements, or if it's all in my head.

  1. I'm singing Eye of the Tiger for ya!

Also, if you're ever in bed again and need a Netflix movie, give Louis CK's Chewed Up standup a try. Vile, but hilarious.
