Back in the Saddle Again - Day 11

Ok, back at it today. The rest did me a lot of good on the one hand, but the amount of time that I've spent in bed over the past two days has been not so great for my back. Can you say "El Stiffo?" Oh well, it will get over it - I'm being nice and easy on my back until it loosens back up.

So, today I started out with my Wii Cardio - spent 34 minutes sweating it up to Survivor music and getting my butt moving. I gave Bob a rest today since it was moving onto his second week - and that cardio was a bit more intense than I wanted to get into since I was off yesterday. Bob will be back in the mix tomorrow.

After I finished up with that I did my last level one exercise. I was moving slowly on some of the moves to accommodate my back, but I made up for missing yesterday. After all the upper body work during my Wii Cardio, I was really feeling some of the moves here, and was dreading what I was about to attempt.

Then, I moved onto level two. I wanted to make sure I didn't fall behind, and I will just have to make up NMTZ at some point during level two so that I keep up with the program. Janet had the experience of level two being more manageable this time around, unfortunately I did not share in that sentiment today. Perhaps it will change as level two continues for the next ten days, but I was ready to turn it off mid-way through the second circuit. The plank moves are still giving me trouble - it could be because my back is so stiff - or because I just have a weak core. Only time will tell.

Here's to another day down. I will have to get a walk in tomorrow since I didn't get one in yesterday or today. Harsh, I know. But, hey at least over the holiday weekend the weather will be in the 50s and I will be able to get in some nice long walks. Looking forward to it :-)
