A little mixer - Day 6

Well, today I got home from work super early because I had nothing to do ... so after a little Guitar Hero (yeah, I know, but I really want to try and hit all the notes on Dragonforce), I decided to do my Wii cardio boxing. I was thinking it would only be for about 20 minutes ... well 80 minutes later, I finished and decided it was enough for the day. I couldn't help it, I was having fun and I needed to release some stress - and there is no better way in my world at this particular moment in time.

Um, I am not sure how this is going to affect my Bob and Jillian mojo, but we shall see how it goes.

Bob - Cardio mix again today. Ok, so today I really felt Bob's lunges and squats. He does about 5 minutes straight of nothing but lunges, and today I was feeling it. I do hope this doesn't weigh too heavily on completing Jillian and her loonie lunges, but we shall see. I'm about to do that one ... just need a few minutes to rest before diving in.

Overall, I feel pretty good after finishing up with Bob. Will the feeling last?

Jillian - did we make it? Well, after about 20 minutes of resting in between "sets," I dove into Jillian. Given the large number of jumping jacks in Bob's routine, and the 5 minutes of jumping rope I did during my Wii blast, I was a little apprehensive about getting through Jillian.

Moving at a glacial pace - you know how much I love that. Well, that movie line resonated with me during JM tonight. I got through it, but I felt like I was moving with a ton of concrete strapped to my shoes. I think it had more to do with the fact that I only had a yogurt today before delving into all of this, and my body just didn't have the energy to deal with everything I was putting it through. Note to self, on days when you do this much, you need to consume more than a simple yogurt at 8 in the morning. Note taken.

  1. I think the feeling will last. Finishing 3 tough workouts is a great accomplishment! :)

And yes, more than a yogurt is mandatory so your body has some fuel for its fire. I learned my lesson in a much yuckier fashion... I attempted to do a run after only drinking what was essentially a juiced salad. I felt ill, and dizzy, and learned its just better for my body to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks, moderate, and hydrate.
