Well, today I decided to mix it up again. I was feeling really good, so instead of just doing JM, I decided to throw some "Bob" into the mix. I have the Biggest Loser Workout, and decided that I was going to do that as well today. I focused on cardio with Bob and then everything else with JM.
I forgot how much I liked working with Bob. He keeps things light-hearted and after dealing with Jillian for 30+ days straight, he was a welcome sight. Don't get me wrong, I was sweating up a storm when I was done with him, but his cool-down stretches ... ah, they are absolutely wonderful. I think I am going to add his cool-down to the tail end of the other two JM workouts on Sunday and Tuesday so that I really get a good stretch going for my entire body.
I think it was these stretches that actually really helped me out with Jillian. For starters, Bob really holds the stretches, and gets the entire leg in various different moves. Given how much my legs have been killed by JM, the stretches felt wonderful (especially the ones that get the inner thigh).
So, how did JM do on this day?
Well, after about a 20 minute rest from Bob I dove into JM.
Today was much easier on me than Monday was ... don't know if it's the changing up or the stretching from Bob that made today smooth. I didn't trip up over any of the moves, although the end of the lunges really had me burning and I had to grit my teeth to finish the moves. My legs are definitely trying to go on strike (between JM and my walking, my legs never get a break) but I am adamant about not letting them take control. Just like the guy who did the 100M free dive, this is all mind over body ... and damn it, my mind is gonna win this race.
Overall, I think I am going to keep Bob as part of my routine on JM3DS days ... he is only 25 minutes and gets the ticker going. I am going to keep Bob and drop my Active (that one, after going through the 30 days is more of a mirror to JM, and I don't need a JM mirror, so Bob is going to take the Active place).
Great idea. Bob is so awesome. Him and Jillian are so rocking together on Biggest Loser, just makes sense that training with both of them will be awesome too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that workout is tailored for those that are, um, vertically challenged (as Garfield would say).
