Well, for today I took a bit of Janet's advice. I practiced plank this morning and then dove in. On the plus side, I am not using my balance ball to get me through like I did the first time around (recall that my balance ball was my savior for this level with all the plank moves).
I am actually doing the walk-outs with no assistance, and I just hold the plank at the end instead of doing the push-up. For the plank jacks, I am holding plank and nearly in a V shape as I do the jumps, but you know what, it works ... I get through the move. The oblique twists at the end, I can also keep up on those - am I really twisting as far as they are, um no, but I'm doing the movement as best as I can, which is also a stark improvement from the first go around.
Overall, I'm improving, but there is still a lot more room for improvement as far as that goes ... but hey, baby steps is my mantra.
On the distance side of things - I am hoping to get in 30 miles over the weekend. I am heading out on my 10 miler in just a few minutes, then I will have to make it back home tomorrow, that is another 10 and then Sunday with the 50 degree weather, I'm going to try and hit another 10. I will post my progress tomorrow and Sunday with my Jillian posts.
Baby steps are progress so that is great. I actually think baby steps are better because then you body can slowly get accustomed to new moves and... no injuries!
