You have to Stress Your Body

Ok, so on day 2, the one thing that keeps resonating in my mind is Jillian's saying throughout the second circuit that "you must stress your body if you want to change your body." You know what, I get it, but that doesn't make it any easier. Wait, you're saying this isn't supposed to be easy??? I must have missed that memo.

Today, when I got up, I was definitely feeling Miss Jillian's torture on my body from yesterday. I made it through the day without any problems, and when it came time to actually do day 2 after I got home from work, I found myself wishing that I could move things with my mind. Namely turn the tv off without having to find the remote.

Day 2 was not fun, not fun at all. I found ways to modify even the unmodifiable during today's workout. My calves and quads just couldn't take another jump rope without switching up the feet. On the plus side, at least today I didn't look like a drowned rat when I was done ... but that is probably because my limbs felt like rubber around minute 8 today and while my mind was trying to figure out what happened, the session was over.

I don't think I will be able to switch up to the morning like Janet, but that may change. We shall see how well I sleep tonight when my arms and legs feel like rubber. Should be interesting.

Day two, done. Only how many more to go???

  1. That's the nice thing about the workout... just how quick it is. I figure, I can spend 25 minutes literally doing nothing at all. I can do this for 25 min. Even if it's a sweaty and grueling 25 min!
