You know how Jillian likes to say your neck isn't invited to the party during the abs circuit, well it feels like my entire body was rejected from the party.
When I woke up this morning I was feeling pretty good - I wasn't sore or stiff and I was feeling darn good about everything. Well, then I went for my walk ... and about three miles in my quads started to scream. By the time I made it back home, my quads were on strike. After stretching them out and trying to appease them, I waited a few hours before attempting day 3 of Jillian's torture.
When I started out with Jillian, it wasn't as bad as I thought ... oops, I spoke too soon. The first circuit actually went by without a hitch today. No major modifications, just following Anita (I am so not to the point of being able to follow Natalie). When circuit two came around, my quads were starting to throw a bit of a hissy fit ... and my the time the side lunges came they were shaking and throwing every little bit of pain they could my way in an attempt to stop the torture. Well, they did NOT win this time around. I made it through the rest of the circuit and spent well more than Jillian's few seconds stretching them out. Will they forgive me? I guess I'll find out in the morning. If I can get out of bed, they forgave me. If I'm moving like Janet's ape, they are still on strike and I'll just have to push through.
Here's to another day being completed!!!
