Daily Double - Day 24

I just finished reading Janet's post about heating up, and I completely understand. My apartment stays around 58 degrees right now, so layers are an absolute requirement for me. I have a ceramic heater that I use to try and keep it a little warmer, but it is only on for short stints of time.

Even when I do these workouts I keep the layers on . . . sure, I warm up, but I need to keep the layers on because once the sweat wears off, the chill sets in again.

Tonight I didn't have the luxury of starting off nice and warm because I didn't go on a walk before doing Jillian. With my layers on I started up and warmed up rather quickly. Janet is feeling the burn with the lunges, and I am pretty sure you are going all the way down (ala Natalie). Me, I am still in Anita mode when it comes to the lunges, and perhaps that isn't why they are killing me quite as much. I don't know if I will ever be able to go all the way down, but for now, my little movements are quite enough to get me burning.

Oh, and get this - I know someone who can do the moves just like Natalie ... granted she is a Pilates instructor so her core is about as rock solid as they come, but it was still impressive to see the oblique twists and those side oblique ups (whatever you want to call them - the ones where I don't even move) done properly and without even breaking a sweat. So, it is humanly possible ... just don't know if it is my form of human.

  1. I am indeed impressed that you saw a real life Natalie-esque human being. So it is possible... maybe that will be us some day :)

    Did you end up getting a gym membership? I heard you can get a 24 Hour Fitness membership from Costco for pretty cheap.

  2. I've had a membership to 24Hr Fitness since I moved out here - I've just never used it ... I may need to start as it gets colder outside.
