Traci, have you heard? Heard what? No, not bird is the word.
WE are RUNNERS. Say it out loud: "I am a runner."
I don't think of myself as a runner. I consider myself a dabbler in exercise. I walk a bit, jog a bit, run a bit, do yoga a bit, and dabble here and there. But according to my book about women runners, we are runners. And we need to say it, repeat it, and live it. We've run many miles. We've done long distances and short distances. We have run, therefore, we are runners. Congrats :)
Today for my workout, I ran 6 miles. Good run. It was cool outside. I decided to skip going to the track around the university, and just wove in and around the neighborhood by my house.

11 Days to Go - Still Sore, But Doing Better
I got into my gym clothes before work today, in hopes of getting a run in at lunch time. I was still feeling quite sore, so I put it off until I got home in the evening. The weather was so beautiful out tonight that I couldn't deny myself some time outside, sore legs and all. (Traci, you're gonna love the weather here! Feb-Mar/Oct-Nov seem to be the best month's here weather-wise.) Unfortunately tonight, it was dark when I went out running, so I had to stick to areas that were well-lit to avoid tripping on the awful sidewalks. I ended up just running around the nearby small university campus over and over and over again. The route was about 3/4 mile long, and I got in 6 miles before heading home for dinner. My legs are still sore, but are starting to feel better.
