So, with work again, we did the same 5k race again (Chamber Challenge). This time I had an added participant ... the little dude was strapped to my chest, so I couldn't jog and it was like walking around carrying a 15+ pound bowling ball. I've done long walks with him before and it wasn't a big deal, but my back has been giving me issues lately so it was a challenge. We finished in 57 minutes, so it was 8 minutes slower than last year, but you know what, I still managed to finish it. I've put on a lot of weight since having the boy, so it was rough. Saw pictures of the race today (race was yesterday) and damn, here comes the whale call.
The weather wasn't bad for the race, it looked like it was going to rain, but in the end it warmed up. At least it wasn't in the 90s like it was last year. If I'm still at the same place next year, I guess we will see how we do again. Here's to finishing, and it was the boy's 3rd 5K of the year, so he's a pro already :)
